When we mentioned about Taiwan, the first thing that comes into our mind is their stunning night markets. The night market has become one of Taiwan's culture and characteristics. Through the search of Google, there are already 37 districts that have night market events in Taipei only. There are no chances of going to all 37 districts to experience when you have only limited days in Taipei. Through the experience of mine, I'll introduce you to the "Top 4 Night Market in Taipei" that you cannot miss out on.
1. Shilin Night Market
Shilin night market is known as the biggest night market in Taipei. It is always crowded every night, it doesn't only pack with foreigners but also locals. Raining isn't a big deal on visiting the Shilin night market, because almost every stall is settled under the roof. Basically, you can buy any type of things from there, not only that, but it's also bargain hunters' heaven. It might take you two to three hours to stroll down the street.
2. Raohe Night Market
Raohe night market isn't a big market place, but the reason it is under this list is that it is one of the oldest night markets in Taipei. This is not a great shopping place, but if you are looking to try fabulous local street foods, then this is the place you would want to go. It is estimated that you will take one hour to stroll down the street. *You should definitely try out the Pork Pepper Buns from Fu Zhou Shi Zu stall*
3. NingXia Night Market
Ningxia night market isn't big also, but it is an old famous street. There have lots of memorable structures that are worth taking pictures with. Although it's a small night market, it is estimated that you will take an hour to stroll down the street. Ningxia night market is famous for Taiwanese snacks. These are the foods that are famous over there, Fried Yam Balls, Oyster Omelette, Pork Liver Soup, Chicken Rice, Braised Pork Rice, Fried Bee Hoon, and Mochi Balls.
4. Ximending Night Market
Ximending night market is different from Shilin, Raohe, and Ningxia night market. Ximending does not have many stalls, instead, it is more like a modern town. If you like shopping, then Ximending definitely a paradise to you. The district of Ximending is quite big and cover with lots of shop lots, and you could even see performances on the street. It could take you two to three hours to stroll down the street.
